Longshot #1: Arriving on Earth unsure of his own identity, Longshot tries to rescue a kidnapped baby in "A Man Without a Past." Script by Ann Nocenti. Pencils by Arthur Adams. Inks by Whilce Portacio & Anderson. Cover by Adams. 1st appearance of Longshot and Spiral. 1st Art Adams pro work.

Longshot #2: Written by Ann Nocenti. Art by Arthur Adams, Whilce Portacio, and Scott Williams. Cover by Arthur Adams. I'll Wave to You from the Top!; A director is impressed with Longshot's physical acrobatics and offers him a job as a stunt man; Longshot befriends Ricochet Rita, and the pair dazzle the cameras; Longshot is attacked by hunters from his home world and is rescued by Magog who is beginning to grow and transform into a more demonic looking creature; During filming, Longshot's luck powers desert him as the making of money is not considered a worthy goal and he is cut down by lasers; The director claims that he is going to rush Longshot to the hospital but ends up dumping him in a river and leaving him to die.

Just Let Me Die; Tired of his mind numbing domestic life, middle-aged loser Theo leaps from a bridge to his death; Instead of dying, however, he instead lands on Longshot who was dumped in the river at the end of last issue; He begins to tell Longshot his everyday woes including the fact that Con Edison rips him off in charging excessive amounts for electrical power; The naive Longshot decides to break into Con Ed and steal a cache of diamonds to pay Theo his money back; The pair make it into the power plant and the wires and machinery spark a few of Longshot's memories about his home world; They get the diamonds but are attacked by Spiral, Gog and their allies who are after the same thing; During the ensuing battle, machinery gets destroyed and blacks out all of New York City. 

Longshot #4: Written by Ann Nocenti. Art by Arthur Adams, Whilce Portacio, and Scott Williams. Cover by Arthur Adams. Can't Give It All Away!; Thanks to his accidentally blacking out all of New York City and stealing diamonds from Con Ed, Longshot's picture is plastered all over the news as public enemy number one; He befriends Butch, Darla and their gang of friends and gives them some of the diamonds to spend; Running across, first She-Hulk and then Spider-Man, Longshot is attacked by both heroes and can't figure out why they are beating on him; Longshot's luck powers allow him to escape and he once again reunites with the gang of kids who now have a gun and are going on a monster hunt; Longshot touches the gun and it sparks more memories of his former life.

Deadly Lies; Mojo and Spiral capture Rita and try to use her to locate Longshot; Longshot, a gang of kids and an unlikely ally from Longshot's world, Quark, battle the demonic Magog who has gorged himself on the magic of earth; Longshot discovers that his luck powers have deserted him and he quits the fight in despair; Moping about and generally feeling sorry for himself, he gets another flash of his origin--he was created by the maker, Arize, to be a deadly warrior for the entertainment of the spineless ones but was programmed with a penchant for rebellion; Longshot decides to visit Rita in hopes of getting more answers but finds her home destroyed and Dr. Strange in residence, attracted by the drain of magic on earth.

Longshot #6:  Written by Ann Nocenti. Art by Arthur Adams, Whilce Portacio, and Scott Williams. Cover by Arthur Adams. A Snake Coils...; Longshot, Dr. Strange and Quark return to Rita's house to find she has been turned into a hollow husk by the machinations of Mojo; With adoration being the fuel that enhances his power, Mojo sets up a church on earth and begins to brainwash followers; Longshot tracks him down but finds he cannot kill his former master, allowing him to escape; As they prepare to attack the Church of Mojo, Longshot has another origin flash and realizes that his purpose is to free the slaves of his world from servitude to the spineless ones; Longshot, Quark, Strange and Rita attack Mojo and Spiral; Realizing that Mojo is an anti-life entity whose existence on earth endangers it, Strange opens a portal back to Mojoworld and the villain falls through
